Tutorials
The following tutorials have been created to help you familiarize yourself with the various functionality that is available on GourmetSpeak.
For now, they are however, very simplistic. If you find that you still aren't sure as to what is what and how anything works, please e-mail webmaster@gourmetspeak.com for assistance.
Improvements and more tutorials and help resources will be added as shortly and as needed.
How to change your profile picture
STEP 1:
Once you have logged in, click the the "Account" link (1) at the top right hand corner of the website. Then click on the "Profile Picture" button (2).
This will bring you to the profile picture editing options.
STEP 2:
Click the "Browse" button (circled in red) to select a picture on your computer. Select the picture you want to set as you profile picture by clicking on it and then clicking the "Open" button.
STEP 3:
By this step you have selected your picture of choice and are ready to upload it.
To upload the picture click the "Upload" button next to the "Browse" button. Wait for the green confirmation message to be displayed before leaving the page.
STEP 4:
A confirmation message is displayed if the upload was successful and the picture preview will be updated to show the picture that you set.

How to Post a Status Update
STEP 1:
To post a status update or a plain text message click the green "Speak" button.
STEP 2:
The speaker box will pop up with a text box for you to write your status update or message in.
STEP 3:
Click the "Serve" button to post your update/message to your profile.
Wait for the speaker box to finish working (denoted by the blue spinning dots) before leaving the page.
STEP 4:
When the speaker box is finished processing your post, it will update your profile.

How to Post a Link
STEP 1:
To post a link click the green "Speak" button.
STEP 2:
Click on the "Link" icon (1), just above the message text box. This will bring up options to attach a link.
Enter an address (URL) and click the "Attach" (2) button then wait while the system attempts to find a description and images associated with the link.
STEP 3:
Once the system finds a description and/or images they will be displayed and you can pick an image to associate with the link.
Once you've chosen a picture, click the "Serve" button to post the link.
STEP 4:
The speaker box is still busy while the spinning blue dots are still visible.
Wait for the spinning dots to disappear before leaving the page or the link may not be posted.
STEP 5:
When the speaker box is finished processing your post, it will update your profile.
